The syllabus of Yoga Garden is based on the teachings of ancient teachers as well as modern teachers like B.K.S. Iyengar, giving you the opportunity to find the style that’s closest to you. You can do the course over 3 months – weekends and a few evenings, or you can do a one-month intensive course with only Mondays off.

Purusha Yoga Teacher Training SF

The Purusha Yoga 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training has a strong emphasis on health education, mental well-being, physical fitness, and classic yoga that is applicable to the modern world. Their teacher training program has a strongly holistic view of the human body, yoga, and the experience of teaching itself.

Upon completion of this training, you will qualify to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher. Purusha Yoga has a special scholarship for those who can’t afford to pay the costs of training, they can offer their teaching services to underserved and/or at-risk populations. Yoga Mayu Teacher Certification

Yoga Mayu’s Yoga Alliance registered program is based on giving you practical knowledge of postures, in-depth yoga anatomy training, pranayama (breathing) techniques, meditation, sequencing, yogic philosophy, and business skills.

Their yoga training offers hours of hands-on coaching in teaching methods and multiple opportunities to teach, observe, assist, and adjust in real-life situations. To join Yoga Mayu’s teacher training program you will be required to have at least one year of solid yoga experience.

In addition, you will be required to practice and observe classes as part of the commitment to our teacher training (a total of 20 hours). You will also be introduced to more holistic parts of yoga such as chanting and Ayurveda. It’s safe to say that Yoga Mayu’s got a very well-prepared course for a fair price.

Love Story SF Yoga Teacher Training

Love Story Yoga is a dynamic group of teachers with great backgrounds. They came together to create comprehensive training that includes daily practice and meditation, practical anatomy, philosophy, strategic sequencing, finding your voice, practice teaching, interpersonal work, and technical alignment principles. 

Throughout this program, you will dive into asana, learn basic breathing techniques, explore sacred texts such as the Yoga Sutras and Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and develop your authentic teaching voice. Love Story Yoga offers a short, 2 x 10-day intensive course and a one-month course that runs from Thursdays to Sundays.

Lotusland (formerly Laughing Lotus) has one of the earliest vinyasa training programs in the US, and their program is based on creative, dynamic, and devotional practice, merging body, breath, motion, and mindfulness. You can choose to do the course over 3 weeks time with barely any time off, or you can sign up for a course that will last 14 weekends and you’ll only be busy Friday till Sunday every week. Payment options and early bird discounts are available for you to be able to choose the option best for you.
