Teaching in Costa Rica & International Retreats
Ale, a native of Costa Rica, lives in the beautiful coastal region of Playa Hermosa in the Central Pacific, where she dedicates her life to the practice and teaching of yoga, healing, and self-discovery. Her yoga journey began in 2006 during a deeply transformative period of her life, when yoga became a guiding force for healing, resilience, and reconnection with her authentic self.
Through consistent practice, Ale found profound support in overcoming anxiety, trauma, and personal challenges, discovering yoga not simply as physical movement, but as a sacred path toward empowerment, awareness, and inner freedom. For Ale, yoga is a ritual of honoring the body as a temple and reconnecting with the deeper truth of who we are.
Her connection to yoga eventually led her to India, a place that had long called to her heart. Beginning in 2011, Ale traveled to India multiple times, immersing herself in months of dedicated study in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, meditation, and Kashmir Shaivism under the guidance of respected teachers and traditional lineages.
Over the years, Ale has continued to deepen her practice and education through extensive trainings, workshops, and mentorships in both Costa Rica and India. Her teaching style blends traditional yogic philosophy with modern movement science, mobility training, flexibility work, and creative sequencing to create practices that are intelligent, transformative, and accessible to students of all backgrounds.
Today, Ale teaches weekly group and private classes, facilitates transformational retreats, and leads immersive yoga teacher trainings in Costa Rica. She is passionate about helping aspiring teachers develop confidence, creativity, authenticity, and the ability to cultivate meaningful experiences for their own students.
At East+West Yoga, Ale guides students through Ashtanga-inspired movement, mobility practices, meditation, yoga philosophy, and mindful sequencing within Yoga Alliance certified teacher trainings and retreats. Her teaching combines compassion, depth, creativity, and personal empowerment, encouraging students to embrace yoga as a lifelong path of growth, healing, and self-discovery.
