In Norway and Sweden, there are mainly Hatha and Vinyasa yoga courses in a weekend format, but there are a few options for those who want an intense course in nature. To save you from hours of researching and trying to find all the necessary information, we made a list of the top Yoga Alliance registered schools below.

Atman Yoga School – Trondheim / Oslo, Norway

The Atman Yoga School offers a comprehensive power vinyasa teacher training that is focused around Ayurveda and yoga philosophy, and examines all eight limbs of yoga and is approved by Yoga Alliance.

This training is steeped in the ancient traditions of yogic studies and is designed to merge the authenticity of a Vedic education with the needs and interests of the modern yogi. The course features anatomy, alignment, intelligent sequencing, history/lineage of yoga, chanting, meditation, pranayama, teaching practice, and the business of yoga.

All in all the main point of the training is for you to learn how to effectively and safely guide a physical practice, supported by the wisdom and knowledge of Ayurveda and yoga philosophy. Sivasoorya Yoga Teacher Training– Røldalsterrassen, Norway

Sivasoorya offers a Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour yoga teacher training with high professional standards. This course will give you all the required skills and confidence as well as an internationally recognized certification to teach worldwide. The main teacher is Guru Raviji who is originally from India and has over 25 years of teaching experience.

He has taught over 4000 yoga teachers from all over the world. He teamed up with the popular meditation teacher and healer Inger Tårland Olsen. Norway Power Yoga offers an intensive 200-hour teacher training certified by Yoga Alliance that will prepare you to teach foundational power yoga, you will deepen your practice, you will grow as a human being, you will learn about history, philosophy and the science that yoga really is. Be ready to be challenged physically and mentally also.

Norway Power Yoga believes that whether you have been doing yoga for years, or you are just starting out on your yoga journey, hungry for knowledge, whether you plan on teaching or not, a teacher training can be a self-development journey like no other.  Ishta Yoga Instructor Certification – Oslo, Norway

ISHTA Yoga aims to give each student an understanding of how to incorporate aspects from various yoga styles and practices in a way that best suits their individual paths and needs. So in this course, the focus is on the personal growth of each student, that everyone attains more tools in order to find a way of yoga that suits the individual`s needs.

This training is broad and deep, scientific, spiritual beyond religion, modern but with deep roots in the yoga tradition. With this training, you will learn to teach flow and classical hatha yoga classes, meditation, pranayama, slow flow / restorative classes, philosophy and relaxation classes. Atmajyoti Yoga`s teacher training offers students the opportunity to explore and direct experience of the methodologies, giving each person the skills and the insight to find their personal expression of yoga both on and off the mat.

The course is divided into three main parts. The first part focuses on the physical practice, the second part is about the meditative practices to help students enhance focus and concentration to help to quiet the mind. The third part is about yoga philosophy that guides the practitioners on the path of personal growth.

In addition to the classroom exercises, each student will do 48 hours observing yoga classes at Atmajyoti. On completion of this teacher training program, students will receive a 250-hour Yoga Alliance approved teacher certificate.
